Wanaka Ukuleles Incorporated is a not for profit incorporated society based in Wanaka, NZ. We meet once a week during school term time for 2 hourly rehearsals and enjoy playing a range of music from many different genres. As you can see from our photos on our Meet the Group page we are a wide range of ages and that reflects in our range of songs.
We can learn specific songs and waiatas for special occasions. For example we performed a customized version of Five Foot Two for at a leaving party for a very special lady. And we played the Wanaka Wastebusters Waiata at their 10th anniversary celebrations.
At the Warbirds over Wanaka we played a selection of golden oldies/war time favourites such as: Sweet Georgia Brown, Now is the hour, Wish me luck, Bless them all and We’ll meet again amongst our favourite more ‘modern’ songs listed below the photos.
